Boise City Championships
The IRA would like to thank all the players
that came out for our latest tournament, and to our
sponsors Chicago Connection, Buzz Café, IAC
and Desiree for all the good food.
- 1st
place in was Mike Welsh who showed us some of his
incredible diving gets. Second place was the hard
hitting Scott Banner.
- Once
again Greg Cooper took 1st place in a hard fought
tie breaker with Jayme Berry taking 2nd place.
- 1st place went to Alex Purcell none of his matches
went to a tie breaker. 2nd place went to Jake Wylie
and 3rd went to David Denny.
– 1st place went to Coby Arff he has come a
long way in his game this year. 2nd place went to
David Wood who is a new player, welcome and thank
you for all your help and interest in the game. David
is very intense, watch for him to make a run at state
singles. 3rd went to Eric Wylie – Wow, he has
improved the most. Keep up the good work.
– This
is the division of the tournament! First, second and
third were separated by only one point each! 1st went
to Jake Wylie with 54 points, 2nd went to Alex Purcell
with 53 points, and 3rd went to Coby Arff with 52
points. We had some hard fought matches in juniors
especially between Coby and Jake with a 15-10, 15-14
match. All of you guys as well as Eric Wylie make
us proud!
- 1st
place went to John Aladpe, 2nd place went to Gary
Bratt and 3rd to Renny Wylie.
– 1st place went to Diane Dodds, 2nd place to
Karen Howard and 3rd to Joan Swensen.

Lisa Griego was 1st, 2nd place went to Kenny Jefferies
and 3rd went to Denise Wood.
– 1st place was Mike Welsh and Buck Stone (
the last match Buck had to leave and Bobby Treadwell
finished up for him), 2nd place went to Tim Kilgore
and a blast from the past Chuck Stivison. 3rd was
Scott Banner and Chis Macaw who was injured and Steve
Purcell filled in for him.

1st place was Renny Wylie and Bobby Treadwell 2nd
place was Jayme Berry and Bean Martin and 3rd Lon
Waford and Jim Underwood.
Men’s B/C Doubles – Alex Purcell and Coby
Arff which are becoming the team to beat. 2nd place
went to David Denny and Jim Underwood, with 3rd to
Erik and Jake Wylie.

1st place was Sue Dudley and Steve Neighbors, 2nd
place was Karen Howard and Bobby Treadwell with 3rd
place going to Jayme Berry and Joan Swenson.
Tournament Director Desiree picked Eric Wylie
as most improved player with Densie Wood as being
the most determined women’s player and the best
tie breaker match would have to be John Aladpe and
Gary Bratt’s.
