State Members Meeting on March 3, 2007
The IRA would like to thank everyone who came out
for a great State Singles Championship. A special
thank you to Ronda Gilderoy for putting on a great
banquet held at her restaurant Roosters Eatery. And
a thanks to Steve and Alex Purcell for always helping
during set up and tear down of our events.
Our annual business meeting was held during the
banquet; new nominations to the board and special
player awards were given out. Here is a brief break
down of those nominations and award.
The bylaws of the IRA corporation were modified.
Board memberships will be limited to one year. There
was established an Executive Chair of the board which
will be comprised of three members from those retiring
from the past years board. The Chair members will
be elected by that retiring board from that retiring
board. These Chair members will then serve the membership
at large by serving in an oversight and mentoring
role of the incoming new board. The Chair members
will serve for one year. Each year that Chair members
will be replaced by three elected members from the
then retiring board, to assist the new incoming board.
This will help in the continuity and training for
the year’s incoming board. The executive chair
